Providing young people with the best opportunities throughout life.
WHAT WE DO
We mentor young people at risk in order for them to make positive decisions and take control of their lives by supporting them at the earliest possible stage, preventing them from entering the cycle of criminality through guidance and personal empowerment.
MENTORING AND COACHING
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
We provide support for disadvantaged young people aged 16-24 that are not in education, employment or training (NEET) by enrolling them into courses, offering work placements as well as upskilling young people with functional and employable skills.
SPORTS
Hood CIC offers a multitude of sports programmes which enables impoverished members of our community to grow and develop physically and mentally while enabling social inclusion in a safe and positive environment, in turn creating solidarity within the community.
Special Needs Support
Community Support
With the increased diagnosis of young people with special needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder the impact that Special Needs can have on a child's life can be quite detrimental if not properly addressed.
Hood CIC aims to address the increased discrimination towards young people with Special Needs by providing support to help them overcome their difficulties, allowing individuals with special needs to happily flourish.
Through our community support programmes that aim to strengthen community integration, we are able to tackle the uncertainty many people are feeling whether that be from Covid-19 pandemic or the cost of living crisis. Hood remains alert and dedicated to the needs of the community, offering initiatives ranging from eat and meet nights to free legal surgery.
